Just wondering if you bought your own hair color and creme (such as from Sally Beauty Supply) and then took it to a salon, would they be willing to use the stuff you brought with you or will they not want to?Buying your own Hair dye and taking it to the salon?
It's not the matter of brand at all. Hair salons are insured for everything that they use in case someone has a reaction to a product or chemical. When you bring in anything from the outside it is not insured and that hair stylist could be putting the entire salons licenses in danger along with huge fines. Even if you know that it won't hurt you, they would be nuts to use something that they were not insured to use. I would NEVER let that happen in my salons. It is a matter of insurance.Buying your own Hair dye and taking it to the salon?
I dont know about that. You should probably call and ask, some hair stylist may, and others may not.
Personally, I just dye my own hair, I've been doing it since I was 13 [my mother and sister do as well] and I've *never* had anything bad happen [i.e. ugly colors, hair falling out]
Well they should becuase #1 it's cheaper and #2 they're still getting paid so I don;t see why not. That's what my mom does... exactly. She buys her color at Sally's and brings it to the hair salon. If they have a problem with it then just tell them it's ok, don't argue with them. Or maybe just ask when you go in... they shouldn't mind... really. But if they do it is because they use the same brand every time and they don't want to be to blame in case they ruin your hair or it's not the way you claim it should look. Hope they will, some do, maybe some don't. Not so sure. Good luck.
All you have to do is ask. They may or may not do it. It all depends on there store policy. I do agree with the above comments. They might get you to change your mind and use there stuff. They will tell you that it will damage your hair and blah blah blah.
I think you should bring your own cause you kno the exact color that you want and so your hair dresser lady wont put extra stuff in it that u don like and also i am sure hay will let u bring ur own dye
It might insult them. Right away though, they will tell you not to use it, and convince you to have them color your hair. They want your money, and unless you know your hairdresser personally, they will use every method to change your mind, claiming that it will damage your hair. I use the boxed stuff all the time though. If your afraid of messing it up, do it with a friend and make a 'girls night' out of it.
Would you buy food at a grocery store and take it to Applebee's and tell them to use your food to make your meal?!
most stylist wud want u to use their product at the salon so that they can charge u more.i dnt colour my hair but if u can visit a store and are able to pick out ur colour %26lt;that is the new colour for u%26gt; and u r nt afraid of those results that ur associated with do it yourself hair colouring and assuming u want to save a few bucks,i see no reason why u should do it urself.otherwise if u want to continue wit the pros, ask b4 buying?hope this helps.
